Let's Fly The Coop Baby

When your house is covered in dust, laundry is piling up, and your hubs is zombie mode post finals...you decide its best to leave every "adulting" thing behind and "Fly The Coop!" Now, now, where should you go that will help you find your chi or chill?! Two words that will get your gears going. Sparrows Lodge, located in Palm Springs (I guess that might have been more than two words, you get my point).

After making the trek and stopping for some vintage shopping, the hubs and myself drove up to the very undisclosed, lodge heaven. A lodge designated for adults 21 and up, meaning, no kids! Can I get an amen?! This lodge, built in 1952, is out of sight: beautifully designed, decorated with modern touches, and had a sexy and quite romantic charm around every corner.

->Here'swhy you'll want to stay a weekend, or a week, or a month, or shoot never want to leave this place...

*Disclaimer*

(If you're like me, you'll want to know that your $$$ spent here is definitely worth while, so keep your arms and legs inside the ride at all times, cuz its a long post of all things YES, YES, YES about Sparrows Lodge)

1) Sparrows ambiance screams romantic, relaxing, rustic luxe, with a touch of eclectic chic. The wood work around the place is so inviting and makes you feel like your at a quaint lodge in the middle of nowhere, but really it's Palm Springs baby!

There is a cozy & modern barn in the center of it all. This central barn is for lounging, ordering a drink, or just taking thousands of pictures of. Continental breakfast is actually included in the price of the room (which I'm a sucker for deals, but it also charges those normal hotel fees $15 per day).

And wait, they have a lil' lobby with a top notch fireplace that you can lounge by and just daze off into a land where there is no adulting. This lobby located at the entrance of the lodge gives you a chance to sit your tush on that soft leather couch and just stare out onto the rest of the property.

And now don't let me forget the garden. Yes my friends a garden too. It's so quaint, as it sits there underneath the orange & lemon trees. Benches and chairs a plenty to sit and take in all the serenity this place offers.

Ok, you guys wanted to know every damn detail of this place?! The outdoor fire pit is the coziest of all sorts of cozy; as it sucks you into its cozy vibes and fills you up with endless amounts of smores for you & your amore (complimentary smores I might add).

2) Did I mention 21 and up?! haha I think I did about once or twice! We were greeted by the front desk with a sparkling rose', as we started our trip off with a cheers! And by that point the drinks kept on flowing! Ps. They only serve beer and wine, but it was a nice lil' selection at that.

3) The rooms are such a great escape to the normal hotel room life. I mean come on now, all of that russet, red wood walls makes for all sorts of heart eyes. The lighting is dim, the design is simple yet modern, a huge and private patio... and the bathroom people, a horse trough tub! Be still my heart.

4)Barn Kitchenfamily style supper The for a select number of guests. So exclusive, yet not. It looked all sorts of dreamy as they were setting it up. Below is our bomb diggity burger we ordered for lunch & ate it in their lovely garden. at Sparrows is located in the center of it all, yes ladies & gents it's the actual barn on site! Woah, I know a barn & a kitchen in one! But this undisclosed name definitely doesn't speak to the delicious dishes that come out of it. And while we weren't able to take part in their “Steak” Saturdays (they also have “Chicken” Wednesdays) which the kitchen serves a

5) The staff there is darling. There is definitely an appeal about staying at a boutique hotel, as the staff members get to know each of their guests staying at their 20 room resort. They were welcoming, personable, and made you feel like royalty. Levi was working the nightshift while we were there and he had such wealth of knowledge about the resort and was as passionate as ever about what this lodge was all about.

And now that you have read my novel about our great escape, look at that calendar of yours, find a date to treat yourself to Sparrows Lodge. But seriously, scrounge up those pennies, sell some ovaries, and maybe even ask for a raise, because you'll definitely want to retreat to Sparrows Lodge. We booked ours through the Hotel Tonight app, so easy peasy...and if you want $25 off your first stay, use RMaples3.

I know we'll without a doubt be back soon!

xoxo
